Today's episode brings you 'Musings on the Impostor Syndrome' from your host Gill Donnell.
A number of listeners have asked Gill to consider publishing some of the tips and advice from her blog and website via the Podcast show - so here it is - one of Gill's favourite subjects - The Impostor Syndrome.
The term was first coined by psychologists, Pauline Clance and Suzanne Immes, in a 1978 paper, The Impostor Phenomenon In High Achieving Women.
The authors defined it as a problem affecting women who “Despite outstanding academic and professional accomplishments, persist in believing that they are really not bright and have fooled anyone who thinks otherwise.”
This episode brings some advice for combatting self-doubt and signposts Gill's free guide, An A-Z to Banishing the Impostor Syndrome, available through the website. http://www.successfulwomen.training/a-z-of-the-impostor-syndrome
