Anne is a successful McDonald’s franchisee operating four flagship restaurants across Leeds and Wakefield in West Yorkshire and is soon to expand taking on a fifth restaurant, on the outskirts of Leeds. She had a long-held ambition to own her own business and joined McDonald’s seven years ago, having previously spent 20 years working her way to senior management with a major blue-chip IT company. The diverse role as a McDonald’s franchisee is one that Anne thoroughly enjoys, from helping to develop her growing team of over 400 people; supporting the local communities in which she operates; through to working as a franchisee representative with the McDonald’s executive team to shape future business decisions.
She is extremely ambitious and aims to be the leading female franchisee for McDonald’s in the UK. She is also passionate about encouraging more women to start their own business and outside of her day to day business, she is part of networks and organisations which support this, including EWIF (Encouraging Women into Franchising) and is also a business mentor in partnership with the Wakefield Council.
Away from work she is a keen cyclist and has in the past undertaken charity bike rides across Cuba, Vietnam and Chile.
